1950s On the way to welfare

Nilfisk's product range expanded with the introduction of a washer/scrubber machine, initially designed exclusively for sale on the export market. Although it was actually ready for several years, the raw materials needed for its production was only just made available.

1950's proved to be a success as sales at home and abroad increased rapidly. Demand continued to outstrip the ever-growing production capacity. The flags shows that in some countries the Nilfisk vacuum cleaner were sold under the brand Tellus.

Nilfisk launched the newly design G70 in 1958. The G70 is (with a few modifications) still a part of the product catalogue today as the classic GM 80, proving the long-lasting success of the design.

The innovation of a newer and smaller industrial vacuum cleaner became a big success.
