1960s The crazy 60s

During the 1960s, the vacuum cleaner was a necessity in comparison to the radio, that's because living standards rose ever so quickly and it took a lot to achieve "domestic bliss", as depicted by this picture.

Due to this reason, Nilfisk launched its advertising campaign portraying the ideal family in the 1960s.

As business grew, Nilfisk invested heavily in the expansion of its export sales organisation and within a short period of time established its presence in 70 different countries.

Here we have dutch marketing material.

The first wet vacuum cleaner was introduced in 1962 making it possible to clean wet areas quickly and easily.
