Traditionally, many retailers and consumers have used electrical watts to evaluate a vacuum cleaner's dust pick-up capability. The term 'electrical watts', however, simply refers to the amount of power drawn from the power outlet.
The real test of a vacuum cleaner is its suction power, which is the actual suction created by the motor and the suction measured at the nozzle. It's this suction power that determines a vac's effectiveness in picking up dirt and dust particles.
A clever balance between our unique nozzles, a strong motor and well designed construction results in easy to remove dirt in an extremely efficient way.
"A leading Australian consumer magazine rated the Nilfisk Extreme X300 in the top two models (and the 'best' in the test for dirt removal on carpet) in comparison of 11 high-end vacuum cleaners priced between $599 and $999".

Emptying dirt from a bag-less vacuum cleaner into a bin is often not conducive for people who suffer from asthma or other allergies; this is because dust can easily find its way straight back into your home polluting the air around you.
Nilfisk's specially designed double-lined gravity-held synthetic bags ensures removing dust from your Nilfisk vac is quick, easy and clean. The bag has a self-sealing device, so that dirt and dust don't make their way back into the home or make contact with the skin.

Many people suffer from allergies, asthma or other respiratory conditions. In fact, one in three Australians will develop an allergy at some stage of their life1, so the need for a vacuum with HEPA filter is becoming increasingly important.
Each model in the Nilfisk range is equipped with a HEPA filter so efficient; it is more effective than the human lung. Our high grade allergen filter is designed to capture 99.999% of particles down to 0.3 micrometers including hair, pollen, bacteria and dust mite remains which are common sources of irritation for allergy and asthma sufferers.

For many people, sound reduction is important aspect when purchasing a vacuum cleaner. While the average vacuum cleaner operates at 70 decibels, Nilfisk's Extreme vacuum cleaner range, and the popular Power P40, operates at a very quiet 55 decibels which means one can carry on with a conversation, watch TV or listen to music while vacuuming. These vacuums are so quiet, parents can even vacuum while children are sleeping.
Although lowering the sound level by ten decibels or more may not sound like a great deal, it can make a big difference. In fact, a reduction of just three decibels can halve a vacuum cleaner's sound intensity2.
